One of the most popular programmes of the Rosalia Wine Picnic, the announcement of the Liget Wine selection, took place on the closing day of the festival, on Sunday evening at 18:00. This year, as in previous years, the award was decided by festival visitors. During the four days of Rosalia, guests cast their votes for their favourite rosé and sparkling wines after tasting the competing entries, either with the Rosalia hostesses or online.
The Liget Wine award was presented by Balázs Jelinek, Deputy CEO for Operations of Városliget Zrt., to the representative of the winning winery. The title represents not only professional and public recognition, but also comes with practical benefits: Városliget Zrt. uses the winning wine for promotional purposes and may also purchase larger quantities of it until the end of the following year.
Based on the votes of the public, the 2026 Liget Wine title was awarded to Bodri Pincészet’s “Rozi” Szekszárdi Rozé 2025. The wine won over Rosalia visitors with its freshness, fruity character and light summer style.
Second place went to Maczkó Róbert Pincészete’s Medveálom Rozé 2025. With its lively acidity, fresh fruitiness and playful character, the wine became a favourite among many visitors. Third place was awarded to Garamvári Rose Gold 2025. The wine from the well-known Balaton winery drew attention with its elegant appearance, harmonious flavour profile and refined style, winning over many voters during the competition.
The Liget Wine selection is one of Rosalia’s much-loved programmes year after year, and one in which visitors are always happy to take part. This year, the final result was based on nearly 450 votes.
