This year, our KVATERKA programme series continues, which means that every day we will welcome two guests to speak on the Rosalia stage.
In a new twist this year, not only wine exhibitors but also gastronomy exhibitors will be joining our programme series. This means that in front of the stage, visitors will be able to taste not only wines, but also gourmet treats and delicious bites, naturally free of charge.
On every day of Rosalia, at different times, we warmly welcome everyone interested to the area in front of the stage.
Here is the KVATERKA programme schedule:
Thursday, 4 June, 18:30
On the first day, our guests will be two outstanding Tokaj producers, united by their committed perfectionism towards the Furmint grape variety. For many people, Tokaj-Hegyalja is still mainly associated with aszú and sweet wines, but those paying closer attention may have noticed the significant growth of still dry wines and sparkling wines in recent years. Among other topics, we will be talking about this, while tasting single-vineyard dry Furmint wines and traditional-method sparkling wines, courtesy of our guests.
Participants:
Mádi A Borbirtok and Harsányi Pincészet
Friday, 5 June, 18:30
Our Friday pairing brings together a brand new gastronomy exhibitor and one of our longest-standing wine exhibitors, who will delight us with their tasting selections. From the two highlighted varieties of this year’s VinAgora, our own wine competition, we will taste a Gold medal-winning Merlot, paired beautifully with bites of homemade sourdough bread topped with foie gras and truffle cream. Some of the bites will be gluten-free, so no one has to miss out.
Participants:
Garamvári Szőlőbirtok and Farm Ételműhely
Saturday, 6 June, 17:30
On Saturday, we will welcome two new exhibitors to the Rosalia stage. Alongside their introduction and a conversation about their gastronomic philosophy, visitors will be able to taste a mouth-watering Mediterranean selection from the gastronomy side, including dried ham, cheese and olives. From the wine exhibitor’s side, we could hardly wish for a better food and wine pairing, as we will be tasting outstanding Italian Proseccos from this year’s Vinalies Internationales wine competition.
Participants:
Ca’Salina Prosecco & Vintonic and Kométa, Pedranzini
Sunday, 7 June, 17:30: Liget Wine selection
At the final KVATERKA session, we will once again welcome a wine and gastronomy pairing. On the wine side, we will continue the VinAgora Variety Focus theme introduced the previous day, tasting another Gold medal-winning Riesling.
Our gastronomy exhibitor prepares its delicacies as part of a very important social mission, using ingredients from Hungary’s 300 most disadvantaged settlements, sometimes grown in small household gardens. The Felzárkózó Települések, or Fetekert, programme is therefore much more than gastronomy: it is also a form of social responsibility carried out under the umbrella of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta.
Participants:
Villa Gyetvai Balatonfüred and Fetekert Máltai Manufaktúra
