Rosalia’s charity initiative has reached its goal.

The non-returned glasses have turned into real help. Thanks to Rosalia’s guests, a new interactive board will support the children’s development at Józsefváros EGYMI Primary School.

This year, the Rosalia Wine Picnic was once again about more than the first great shared toasts of summer. Festival guests proved again that even a small gesture can turn into real help.

Visitors who rented glasses at the event could receive their deposit back when returning their glass before leaving. Many, however, decided to keep their glass as a souvenir, and in doing so, they also supported a worthy cause. Rosalia Wine Picnic donated the amount remaining from the non-returned glasses to the Józsefváros Unified Special Education Methodological Institution and Primary School.

From the donation, we purchased a modern interactive board, which students will be able to use in the 2026/2027 school year. It is expected to begin its service in one of the first or fifth grade classes.

Józsefváros EGYMI educates nearly 130 children with special educational needs. The institution teaches students with autism, other psychological developmental or behavioural disorders, mild intellectual disabilities, as well as students with typical intellectual abilities, all in small classes. For them, personalised attention and special pedagogical methods play an essential role. Learning does not only mean acquiring knowledge, but also developing communication, independence and the skills needed for everyday life.

Modern digital tools play a very important role in this. Although the school currently has interactive boards in use, these are now generally outdated. The institution’s long-term goal is to have modern technical equipment in every classroom to support the work of teachers.

It is a great joy for us that the Rosalia community has once again shown that a festival can create real value. Every glass that was not returned became a small contribution to helping these children learn more easily and develop more quickly.

We are truly grateful to all our visitors who decided to keep their rented glass and, by doing so, contributed to creating a fuller world for many young children.
