Once again this year, the Rosalia Wine Picnic brought the first truly great shared summer experience to City Park. The four-day event welcomed twenty thousand visitors, who came to spend some of the first carefree days of summer with a glass of wine in hand, relaxing on picnic blankets, enjoying concerts and conversations. Rosalia once again attracted a diverse audience: alongside wine lovers, families, groups of friends and picnic-goers also felt right at home at the festival. We can safely say that many visitors almost feel at home here, having returned to the event year after year.
Already on Thursday, the opening day, City Park attracted a huge number of visitors, exceeding all expectations, and although on Friday afternoon the weather was cooler than usual, this visibly did not discourage many people from enjoying an evening out. The highlight of the weekend was Saturday’s huge garden party and carefree entertainment. From the afternoon onwards, picnic blankets lined up one after another on the green lawn of the Liget, while groups of friends and families settled down under the shade of the trees with a glass or bottle of wine. As the sun went down, the atmosphere around the stage grew more and more intense: the dynamic, instrument-accompanied music of Saxo DJ easily drew the crowd from the picnic blankets into the evening. Meanwhile, the crowd flowed beneath the trees of the Liget, glasses were being filled non-stop at the winery stands, and visitors mainly sought out fresh rosés, fruity whites and various sparkling selections.

Sunday showed an entirely different side of the event. The children’s programmes attracted many families, groups of friends relaxing in the shade of the trees, parents pushing prams and children running around with balloons filled the park. A special highlight of the day was the morning wine yoga session; later, many participants from the neighbouring running race also arrived at Rosalia to reward themselves after completing their kilometres with a refreshing glass of wine, sparkling wine or a delicious lunch.
In addition to the wines, the gastronomic selection also received plenty of praise. Alongside classic festival favourites, visitors could enjoy a wide range of international street food dishes. Farm Ételműhely welcomed guests with duck liver and truffle burgers, while Los Monos offered authentic Mexican tacos, burritos and quesadillas. Balkan flavours were provided by Csevapivo, while Raclette by Lili tempted hungry visitors with melting French cheese specialities. For those with a sweet tooth, the far-from-traditional chimney cakes of Vitéz Kürtős and the special waffle creations of Waffle Dog completed the high-quality street food selection.
One of the key events of the festival this year was once again the Liget Wine selection. Based on the visitors’ votes — with nearly 450 votes cast — this year the honourable title was awarded to Bodri Winery’s Szekszárdi Rosé “Rozi” 2025, a wine that fittingly represents the freshness and energy that Rosalia itself radiates.

The professional talks and the related free tastings held on all four days were also a great success. In the informal discussion series named Kvaterka, each day featured one winemaker and one gastronomic exhibitor, who brought tastings from their own selections for the audience gathered around the stage.
Those who were part of it this year know that Rosalia is not just another wine event, but the first true garden party of the summer in City Park. Good wines, excellent food, a family-friendly atmosphere and a carefree mood together create the special Rosalia vibe that brings thousands back to the Liget year after year.
