This is exactly the atmosphere the Rosalia Wine Picnic brings to City Park: an easy-going yet meaningful gathering where it is not only about wines and food, but also about the people we share the moment with. There is something wonderful about not overcomplicating anything. We sit outside, have a few bites, talk, and almost without noticing, we realise how good this simple sense of calm feels.
At Rosalia, KOMETA brings this same mood to the festival. Its selection will include sausages with a Balkan feel and juicy meatballs, hearty bites that give the day a little extra energy, while the company, the conversations and the shared experiences remain at the heart of it all. The Italians call this Buona vita. The good life is not found in grand gestures, but in those small, unrepeatable moments when everything falls into place. When the food is good, the company is good, and there is time to enjoy it all.
For KOMETA, this mindset is not just an idea, but a kind of compass. They believe in food that is not only delicious, but made from quality ingredients and suited to a balanced, enjoyable way of life. Because good food is not a luxury, it is a foundation. And it is at its best when shared.
This year, the KOMETA food truck selection is built around shared experiences and carefree summer moments. The sausage baguettes are far more than simple street food. Crisp sausages served in fresh, soft baguettes come with a choice of toppings such as homemade csalamádé, red onion and cheddar cheese cream, or chive sour cream and Mediterranean lecsó for a relaxed summer character. Elsewhere, creamy sheep’s cheese brings smooth, full flavours. Still not convinced? How about a flatbread baguette filled with juicy meatballs? Each version evokes a different world: the classic cheese version, the chilli and bacon option, the Italian-style lecsó and mozzarella combination, the Greek tzatziki and feta version, or the spinach and blue cheese variation. The whole selection is made complete by little extras such as crispy bacon cubes, aged cheese shavings, oil-fried crispy onions and fresh chilli, making every dish feel even more personal.

And what makes a picnic in City Park truly Buona vita?
5 tips for the real Buona vita experience
1. Do not rush.
One of the biggest traps at festivals is wanting to see and taste everything, because the real experience is not about quantity. Give yourself time to arrive, talk and be present. A glass of wine and a good bite can give you so much more when you are not hurrying between two programmes.
2. Share the flavours.
Food is a shared experience. Eating becomes much more enjoyable when we share different treats with each other. More often than not, these spontaneous moments of tasting things together are what create our fondest memories.
3. Sit down on the grass.
One of the greatest gifts of City Park is that you do not have to enjoy the festival in a formal setting. A blanket, a shady tree, and suddenly you find yourself in a completely different mood. Being close to nature slows you down, eases tension and helps you experience the moment more fully.
4. Pay attention to your company.
Wine and food are only the means. The real value lies in the people you are with. A meaningful conversation or a good laugh is worth far more than any gastronomic experience on its own. This is where the essence of Buona vita truly begins.
5. Allow yourself to enjoy the experience.
You do not have to rate, analyse or document everything. Sometimes the best thing is simply to let things happen, feel good in the moment and be present. This is the lightness the Italians know so well, and it is what can turn a simple picnic into a lasting memory.
